Mansfield Street Pastors bring the love of Christ to the night-time streets of the town by being present to care both practically and emotionally for those enjoying a night out, particularly the vulnerable . Their presence is much valued by those they come in contact with. For more information or if you would like to volunteer, please speak to

Clive Butcher or Pam Townsley.

OVERSEAS

Uganda - David Ardron has been making regular visits to Uganda since 1990. In 2007 he took the opportunity of making a twelve months visit. Visiting village churches he noticed the church leaders in the villages couldn’t afford to visit the large towns and cities to attend courses. The training needed to go to them.

Returning to the UK, David researched courses, finding a suitable course called Equip Leadership. For many years, David took this teaching, making two visits a year, to the villages with Philip Lotimong working alongside him.

In February 2020, David handed the teaching over to Philip, who has many opportunities of presenting the teaching to church groups, leaders groups, and speaking at conferences. David returned to the UK to seek God’s will regarding his future in Uganda.

Then the pandemic came, followed by a devastating flood, and now the cost of living crisis, making living conditions for many in Uganda, which were already difficult, even worse. As a church, we are raising funds to send to Philip Lotimong, who is able to bulk buy aid items and oversee distribution.

The work we are doing in Uganda, as a church, is ongoing and developing. There are many opportunities to serve, and we continually seek God’s will.
